Privacy policy

Fleeced is a free tool for Sleeper fantasy football leagues. This page explains what it collects, why, and who else handles it. There are no accounts or passwords, Fleeced shows no ads, and it never sells your data.

What you tell Fleeced

Your Sleeper username. Fleeced looks it up with Sleeper's public API to find your leagues. You never give Fleeced a password, and there's no account to create.

What Fleeced stores

League data from Sleeper, such as league settings, rosters, team and manager names, matchups and transactions. Anyone can read this through Sleeper's public API. Fleeced keeps a copy so pages load quickly, and refreshes it on a schedule.

Usage events. When you load a league, open or analyze a trade, copy a trade message, share a card or view a player, Fleeced records what happened and when, along with a random ID, your Sleeper user ID if you entered a username, the league ID, and details such as the players in the trade or the filters you used. This shows which features get used and helps improve trade suggestions.

Share cards. When you share a trade, a report card or a weekly Fleece Report, Fleeced saves a copy of the card: the players, the numbers and grades shown, and the team and manager names unless you chose to hide them. Anyone with the link can see it, and it doesn't change after you share it.

Trade feedback. When you give a suggested trade a thumbs up or down, Fleeced saves the trade, the league, the week, your random ID, the reason you picked, and the numbers the trade was scored on. It uses your votes right away to stop suggesting trades you disliked and to rank similar ones lower, and later, without any IDs, to improve its trade suggestions for everyone. Your browser also keeps a copy so the change shows at once.

Public fleece rankings. Trades from leagues opened in Fleeced can appear on the public Biggest fleeces list. Manager, team and league names are always removed; only the players, their points and the league's format (like 12-team PPR) are shown.

Cookies and browser storage

Fleeced sets these cookies. None are for advertising, and there are no third-party cookies.

tf_user
Your Sleeper username, user ID and display name, so you don't have to type them again. Kept for 1 year.
tf_anon
A random ID that links your usage events together without saying who you are. Kept for 2 years.
tf_ref
The share link that brought you here, so Fleeced can count shares that bring in new people. Kept for 30 days, or until you load a league.
fleeced-mode-[league ID]
The team mode you picked for a league. Kept for 120 days.
fleeced-type-[league ID]
The league type you picked in Settings (redraft, keeper or dynasty), when it differs from Sleeper's. Kept for 1 year.

Your browser also stores your light or dark theme choice, when you last read each league's news, and your trade votes.

Page view analytics

Fleeced counts page views with Vercel Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies. Vercel tells visits apart with a hash of the request that it discards after 24 hours, and records the page, the site that sent you, your approximate location, and your browser, operating system and device type. Fleeced removes league and team IDs and most query strings from page addresses before they're sent.

Services that handle data for Fleeced

Vercel
Hosts the site. Like any web host, it processes requests, including IP addresses, to serve pages.
Supabase
Hosts the database that holds the league cache, usage events and share cards.
Anthropic
Its Claude model writes some player and news summaries. It receives public football facts only, such as stats, injuries, schedules and weather, never anything about you or your league.
Sleeper
Provides league data through its public API, and the player photos and team logos. Fleeced's servers fetch the pictures, so your browser never contacts Sleeper for them.
nflverse and Open-Meteo
Provide schedules, usage stats and game day weather. Fleeced's servers make these requests, not your browser.

What Fleeced doesn't do

It doesn't show ads, use ad trackers, or sell, rent or trade your data. It shares data only with the services above, which handle it to run Fleeced, or when the law requires it.

How long data is kept

Cached league data is replaced as it refreshes. Usage events and share cards are kept while Fleeced runs, so shared links keep working, unless you ask for them to be deleted.

Your choices

Clearing your cookies makes Fleeced forget your username and random ID. You can switch to a different username anytime in Settings.

Children

Fleeced isn't meant for children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. The terms of use cover the rest of how Fleeced works.
